Jay Robb Egg White Protein powder is unique and famous for its natural flavor systems. The egg white protein raw material is derived from chickens not treated with growth hormones. The protein is flash pasteurized for safety, with no additional heating used during the final processing.
We believe that nothing on the market out-performs Jay Robb Egg White Protein Powder. In the world of protein, egg albumen is nearly perfect! And our egg white formula is chock-full of PURE egg albumen! plus our Egg White protein formula contains no cheap fillers or sweeteners like fructose, malto-dextrin and glucose polymers. Plus it contains NO FAT, making it ideal to blend with a high quality flax seed oil.
Our ingredients contain NO gluten, NO msg, NO casein, NO artificial colors and NO artificial flavors
Is Jay Robb Egg Protein from chickens given growth hormones?
No. Our chickens are not given growth hormones.
Is Jay Robb egg protein from free-range chickens?
Our chickens are not free range chickens, but they are NOT kept in chicken batteries (small coups) either. They are allowed to roam in large pens.
Is Jay Robb Egg Protein from chickens not given antibiotics?
Our chickens are not routinely given antibiotics (but may be given antibiotics if absolutely needed).
Are your protein powders and products gluten-free? What's the difference between "gluten-free" and "no gluten" on a product label?
In order for a product to be labeled gluten-free, it must be manufactured in a facility that produces only gluten-free products and products that do not contain wheat or gluten. Because none of our products are made with ingredients containing gluten, our label reads, “no gluten.”
Our manufacturer is GMP-certified and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to segregate ingredients on shared equipment and within the facility. This includes cleaning the lines between all production runs and stringent scheduling of product runs to avoid cross-contamination. A GMP-certified manufacturer is one that has exceeded the specific standards laid out by the United States Food and Drug Administration. GMP certification ensures that supplements and vitamins are manufactured safely, with the highest quality production from a state-of-the-art facility.
Is your egg white protein powder pasteurized?
Jay Robb Egg White protein powder is flash pasteurized at the lowest temperature allowable by law at 134 degrees Fahrenheit for just 3 1/2 minutes
PLEASE NOTE: ALL whey protein powders sold in the United States are from milk that is pasteurized as stated above or from milk heated to 145° F for 30 minutes. Many companies are now stating that their whey is “special” or unique in regard to heating and pasteurizing, but the truth remains that ALL whey proteins sold in America are from pasteurized milk.
Do you add sodium to your Egg White Protein Powder?
No. The sodium in our Jay Robb Egg White Protein is naturally occurring and not sodium chloride (table salt). Sodium that is naturally occurring in foods is an essential mineral and needs to be present to balance out potassium and the water table of the body. Sodium is also needed to create hydrochloric acid and buffer the acid by-products of digestion and metabolism.
Does the Jay Robb Egg and Whey protein powder have enzymes in it to break down the protein?
None of our protein formulas are fully predigested. A portion of the protein contained in our whey formula is predigested. Our whey is our only formula that contains any predigested protein. I am not a believer in fully digesting a protein powder because it can absorb too quickly causing an amino acid rush similar to a sugar rush. Protein and carbohydrate should break down slowly over time during natural digestion for best usability by the body.
Does your egg white protein have any vitamin D in it, and how much?
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and egg whites are fat-free, therefore it contains no vitamin D. All the vitamin D content in eggs is found in the yolk.
The amino acids phenylalanine and aspartic acid are on your nutrition facts panel. Aren't these in the sweetener Aspartame?
Phenylalanine and aspartic acid are naturally occurring amino acids in egg whites. Phenylalanine and aspartic acid are two of the three main ingredients in aspartame. Aspartame is simply an unnatural concentrated free-form combination of those two amino acids created to be used as an artificial sweetener. In our egg white protein the amount of those two amino acids is balanced and not concentrated because the product is primarily derived from egg whites.
You may use our product with the same peace of mind as you would have if you were consuming an egg white omelet at your favorite restaurant.
Other than the delicious taste and the other obvious benefits listed on the container, is there any benefit to the body in using your protein powder as a health supplement versus getting protein from animal meat?
Besides tasting delicious, our protein powder scores big for the following reasons:
- Convenient (toss into water or milk and you have an instant protein drink).
- Lower in calories than any meat that delivers the same amount of solid protein. (This is because our protein is fat-free.)
- Our protein can be used in a variety of ways. Meat can't be stirred into yogurt to make a delicious, high-protein pudding, but our protein powders can. You can also bake with it and add it to pancakes or muffins for a special taste treat.
- Our protein contains no saturated fat, as compared to most meats.
- Our protein powders are usually much easier to digest than meats, due to no fat in our product and because of the balance of amino acids.
- The product is vegetarian, making is suitable for those who choose to not eat meat.
- Whey protein has been clinically shown to boost the immune system due to its unique make-up.
- I couldn't imagine a day without a Jay Robb protein drink!

Hello, Jay!
I was in Amarillo for three months taking care of my ill parents. I had a hemoglobin A1c just before I left, and my diabetes was out of control. I tested out above 10, which is not acceptable. I have had a weight problem all my life. With the diabetes, I do not utilize carbs. I crave milk and that was a big problem. Why I chose your product, I don't know. I do know that by Day #2 I no longer craved milk or carb foods.
It has been two months, and I have gone from 259 pounds to 230 pounds. I do not crave foods, and I feel better than I have felt in years. Your products are the only thing I am doing different. Just before I returned to Kansas, I did another hemoglobin A1c and it was 6.2—whatever it is, it is working! I chose the egg white protein because of low carbs and chose the chocolate flavor because I craved chocolate. If you ever need a recommendation, you've got it.
Looking better and feeling great!
Thanks!
- Joe
Just tried your vanilla and chocolate flavored egg white protein. It is so hard to find protein that isn't stuffed with harmful junk and that tastes good. I think you nailed it!

Hi Jay! I just wanted to say I have been a huge fan ever since I tasted that first drop of your egg white protein! I work out on a regular basis and have been using your delicious chocolate egg white protein and let me tell you, it's been working wonders! Thanks again for making such a healthy, all-natural protein powder!

I've been using the "JAY ROBB EGG WHITE PROTEIN VANILLA 32 OZ" for a long time now. I think it's very clean and it's all natural.

My husband and I decided to try this out when we were at Vitamin Cottage awhile back, and it's GREAT. We were trying to find a protein powder that didn't have sugar, sucralose or any of the other standard substitutes, and it had to taste good. So we tried this and it's delicious. We use a lot of protein powder and this is the best, by far, that we've found so we're going to purchase the larger size.

This product is a winner, I decided I'd try it and was not disappointed. I'd tried other egg white proteins, I'd got by the taste but they were still difficult to use because they would foam up so much and I think this translates into economic savings because with some egg white protein, it seems half of the drink becomes foam. This brand does not and with the strawberry flavoring, is in fact, pleasant to drink. The price is reasonably competitive with what else is out on the market especially when to me, it's nearest competitor has that high foam when the egg whites are mixed, I'm not making lemon meringue after all. Additionally, it says the chickens that lay the eggs used in this powder are not treated with hormones. I have bought regular eggs that are from chickens that are not caged and fed an organic vegetable diet. Sounds similar. I wish I had not held back on trying out this product for so long.

I had Bariatric Surgery in 2009 and this product is the only one I can stomach post-surgery. It doesn't have that awful smell or taste like whey products. They make me gassy and upset my stomach. I have tried this in chocolate, vanilla and unflavored, all are good. Try it you just may like it.

After trying several soy & whey proteins - all which had an unpleasant taste, I decided to try this egg white protein. I looked at the nutritional labels by comparison & did find this to have more sodium. However, there is no taste to it. It's great. I mix it with some skim milk & add a couple table spoons of Fage (Greek yogurt) to bump up the protein and add a sugar free flavored syrup and presto, an awesome drink. I would highly recommend this for those who are on a weight loss post-surgery program.

I have hypoglycemia, and hate eating breakfast. This product works wonderfully for me! I just mix it in my blender with some milk, ice, cinnamon, 1/2 a banana and a couple teaspoons of ground flax seed and I have a great breakfast that lasts me all morning. And with no sugar I don't have to worry about the carbs. I would highly recommended this!!
