Holiday Check List and 3 Healthy Holiday Treats
Holiday Check List
Don't be unprepared for this holiday. Check this list and check it twice! The Christmas season can mean more exposure to sugar, sweets, fat, treats, and junk food…all of which have the power to drag you down and make you as rotund as jolly ol' St. Nick. And the last thing you want is to shake when you laugh like a bowl full of jelly!
- Protein Please: Keep a container of Jay Robb Egg White or Whey Protein on hand at home and at work. When doing errands or shopping, carry a thermos that contains a pre-made protein drink that you can sip as needed.
- Practice Saying "NO thank you": If you are an American, your friends and relatives are going to be tempting you, probably on a daily basis. If you are an ex-carbohydrate addict like me, you will need to get good at saying
NO thank you.
- Carb-deplete before any big meals: If you will be overeating on Christmas day, cut carbs the day before and the morning of Christmas. Then try to indulge in your big meal and don't eat for more than 60 minutes of all those goodies!
- On the day after Christmas, resume your normal Fat Burning Diet eating patterns focusing on veggies, fruits and lean protein.
